And sew it begins...

Now don't get me wrong...this blog isn't a SEWING blog per se. I'm too much of a beginner sewer (sewist?) to have a blog dedicated to sewing. But I do like dabbling with craft and bought a sewing machine (with the intention of sewing up hems on pants!) and thought why not make use of of it for other stuff?

Well, the hems on my pants have yet to be sewn...but I did do this for my very first sewing attempt:

It's a baby tag ribbon blanket!

It was rather brave of me to start with minky (oh, that fabric needs too much attention!) and also pinning those ribbons were such a pain!!! But I'm happy with the result and Baby NinJa seems happy playing with it too! Lucky she doesn't mind that mummy's stitching isn't anywhere close to the professionals!
